I am fortunate to be an orthodontist. Every day I meet new people, begin learning who they are, and help them start to change their life. Every day I build and strengthen connections, share in people’s lives, hear their stories, and share some of my own. Together, we laugh, tell jokes, and become friends.

I’ve been practicing orthodontics since 2000 and still look forward to coming to the practice every morning. I grew up knowing I wanted to be in healthcare and have always enjoyed working with my hands. I also knew I wanted to be in a field where I had time to build real bonds with people, beyond just provider and patient. Orthodontics is the perfect fit for me!

It is an immense privilege to be able to help someone achieve the smile they desire. Watching a person transform before my eyes, and seeing them finish filled with confidence and a winning smile, is professionally and personally rewarding!

Continuing education is core to the care I offer patients. I stay current on the latest techniques, technologies, and materials, along with research and discussion of treatment modalities. This allows me to deliver the best treatment available.

I attend the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and American Association of Orthodontists annual meetings. During the year I participate in lectures and seminars, keeping up-to-date on advancements in the field. I also attend various Invisalign® lectures in order to increase the range of cases I can treat with the clear aligners.

Beyond the Practice

I’m a Vancouver native; after being in Boston for six years during dental and orthodontic graduate school, I returned to my hometown in 2000. My wife, a lovely and fantastic woman, and I have two beautiful daughters. I also have a large, extended family of uncles, aunts, and cousins all living in the Vancouver area. When not in the office, you’ll usually find me with my family.

I really love to cook, so I’m constantly looking for new recipes that my wife and daughters will like. Instagram is a great source of inspiration! I also enjoy watching the latest science fiction or superhero movie and like snowboarding when I’ve the time. Additionally, I volunteer at my children’s school garden and for various other school-related events.
